Novice Dogs 3
Sled dogs have a different way of pulling.
When weight pulling they must be careful not to "snap" the weight cart to start it rolling.
This applies to all dogs that pull. The handler takes the dog forward to tighten the lines before giving the pull command.
Rainey is a Siberian Husky from Amery Wi. While she has never pulled weight before she has been a sled dog for years and certainly put her heart into it.
Not pictured is Taxi, a Great Dane from Webster, Wi.
In all there were six novice dogs at the pull. Not one refused to pull and all would be good prospects for competition.
